The Opportunity
Reporting to the Cash and Banking Manager, the Banking Specialist supports the accurate and efficient execution of daily banking activities. You will work closely with an outsourced service provider and internal stakeholders to ensure transactions are processed correctly, reconciliations are completed on time and controls are maintained.
Key Responsibilities
* Processing and monitoring daily banking transactions, including payments, collections and transfers
* Completing bank reconciliations accurately and within agreed timeframes
* Supporting cash flow forecasting through the provision of banking data and analysis
* Working closely with the outsourced banking service provider to monitor service delivery and resolve issues
* Supporting compliance with internal controls, audit requirements and regulatory obligations
* Identifying and escalating discrepancies, risks or potential fraud indicators
* Contributing to process improvements, automation initiatives and system enhancements
* Providing banking information, reports and insights to finance and treasury stakeholders
About You
You are a detail focused finance professional with experience in banking operations or treasury activities. You take pride in accuracy, enjoy problem solving and are comfortable working with both internal and external stakeholders.
* Experience in banking operations, cash management or financial shared services
* A sound understanding of banking transactions, reconciliations and financial controls
* Experience working with ERP systems and banking or cash management tools
* Strong numerical and analytical skills, with confidence using Excel and reporting tools
* A collaborative approach and clear communication style
* The ability to identify issues, elevate risks and contribute to continuous improvement
* Experience working in a multinational environment or with outsourced service providers will be well regarded.
