Southampton, WA (Via Balingup) Full-Time | Minimum 1 Year Experience Required About the Opportunity Linga Longa Estate & Linga Longa Bike Park is a premier South West destination. We are seeking a dedicated, professional HC/HR Truck Driver (General) to manage our heavy vehicle operations. This is a specialized driving role requiring a self-sufficient operator who is comfortable working in a remote regional environment. The Remote Requirement Our operational base is in Southampton, WA. Due to the remote nature of the site, there is no public transport access. Successful applicants must possess their own reliable vehicle to commute to and from the site daily. This role is suited for a driver who is local to the South West or willing to relocate to a regional setting. Driving Responsibilities Metro & Regional Haulage: Operating Flatbed and Tip truck for the transport of machinery and building materials between Perth and the South West. Bulk Material Transport: Precise operation of Tip Truck to load, transport, and unload gravel, soil, and fill for site development. Watercart Operations: Operating water truck for critical dust suppression and road maintenance across the estate during peak event periods. Load Management: Estimating weights to ensure safe distribution, securing varied loads using chains/straps, and verifying loading documentation. Technical Maintenance: Conducting daily pre-start safety checks and performing minor mechanical repairs/adjustments to the vehicle on-site. Requirements Experience: At least 1 year of documented experience operating HR, preferred HC heavy vehicles. Licensing: Current Australian HC Driver’s Licence, current Driver medical, Fatigue Certificate and White Card (Mandatory). Mechanical Aptitude: Ability to troubleshoot and perform basic vehicle maintenance independently in a remote location. Fitness: Physically capable of securing heavy loads and passing a heavy-vehicle medical and drug & alcohol screen. Professionalism: Strong communication skills and a "Safety First" mindset. Flexibility: Willingness to work varied hours, including weekends, to align with event and transport schedules. Due to the nature of the Bikepark and Estate events, additional mandatory overtime is required during peak seasons (festivals/weddings/race days). This may include early starts, late finishes, and weekend work. Applicants must be available for all scheduled overtime.
