Due to further expansion across Australia, Whittles is seeking to appoint two full-time or part-time (5 days per week, School hours) Assistant Accountants Compliance to join its growing national accounting team in Dulwich (Eastern Suburbs). This role focuses on supporting managed corporations across Australia in providing accurate and timely financials and compliance.
Responsibilities
Reporting to the National Accounting Manager, you will be responsible for:
* General ledger reconciliations and maintenance
* Review of financial statements
* Preparation of Quarterly GST and BAS for each strata management
* Preparation of annual income tax returns
* Preparation of documentation for auditors
* Liaise with clients and contractors
Skills and Experience
To be successful in this role, you will have exposure to the preparation of quarterly GST and BAS, completing taxation returns, and performing general ledger reconciliations. As you will be supporting the managed corporations around Australia, you will need to manage your time effectively, hone your solution-focused attitude and be able to multitask.

* Tertiary level qualification in accounting
* Attention to detail, accuracy and problem-solving skills
* Excellent written and oral communication skills
* Proficient and confident in Excel
* Ability to work independently and within a team
