About the role
Southern Stainless Steel Engineering Pty Ltd is seeking experienced Metal Fabricators to join our team in Howlong, NSW. This is a full-time position, with the opportunity to be a part of a dynamic and rapidly growing company that specialises in the manufacture of high-quality stainless steel products.
What you'll be doing
* Fabricate and assemble a variety of stainless steel components and structures using welding, cutting, and other metal-working techniques
* Read and interpret technical drawings, plans, and specifications to ensure accurate fabrication
* Operate a range of metal fabrication equipment, including MIG and TIG welding machines, plasma cutters, and grinders
* Perform quality checks on completed work and maintain high standards of workmanship
* Collaborate with the production team to ensure efficient workflow and timely delivery of projects
* Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and suggest ways to enhance productivity and efficiency
What we're looking for
* A minimum of 2 years' experience in a metal fabrication or welding role, ideally in the stainless steel industry
* Proficient in MIG and TIG welding, as well as other metal fabrication techniques
* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, plans, and specifications
* Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work
* Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills
* Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
* A valid driver's license and the ability to work at our Howlong, NSW facility
