ABOUT THE ROLE
This is an exciting time for us, as we are looking for a Communications and PR Specialist to join our Digital, Marketing and Communications department. We're looking for a talented communications specialist who will drive positive media outcomes across Community Cricket, Big Bash and International Cricket. to If you consider yourself to be an innovative storyteller, we want to hear from you This role will play an important part in driving cricket's narrative with the aim of getting more Australians to love and participate in Australia's national sport.
Reporting to the Senior Manager, Commercial Communications, you will be responsible for:
* Working with the Senior Manager, Commercial Communications, and National Teams Communications Managers to support and execute PR plans across international cricket, including Australian Women's Team player profiling, men's and women's event promotion and social impact partners.
* Support on PR planning and execution for Big Bash including building a plan to connect PR initiatives across W/BBL, leveraging key milestones such as season launches.
* Assist in the management of agency relationships where relevant to deliver key PR campaigns that drive interest and awareness of cricket.
* Support and execute PR plans for commercial, government and broadcast in relation to international, Big Bash and community cricket where required.
* Lead and execute PR plans for community cricket and inclusion teams programs including Play Cricket Month, women and girls' initiatives and multicultural programs.
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
* 5 years' experience in a communications and/or PR role
* Relevant tertiary qualification In journalism, communications, or marketing
* You will have a strong commercial mindset that can look around corners
* Experience with delivering large-scale promotional plans and gaining positive coverage for events
* Excellent collaboration skills
* Strong written communication skills
* Proven experience balancing and prioritising multiple projects and stakeholders while working to time-sensitive deadlines
