Overview
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Carpenter to join our growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who takes pride in quality workmanship and enjoys working on a variety of construction and renovation projects.
As a Carpenter, you will be responsible for interpreting plans, preparing materials, and constructing, installing, and repairing timber structures and fittings. You will work on residential and commercial projects, delivering high-quality results in line with safety and building standards.
Responsibilities
* Interpret drawings, plans, and specifications to determine materials, measurements, and installation methods
* Select, order, and prepare timber and building materials
* Measure, cut, shape, and assemble wood components
* Construct and install frameworks, flooring, and panel systems
* Fit door and window frames, wall cladding, fascia, and roofing components
* Assemble prefabricated timber structures and fittings for installation
* Create strong and accurate wood joints and connections
* Carry out formwork for concrete structures when required
* Repair, maintain, and replace existing timber fittings and structures
* Work with a range of materials, including timber, laminates, perspex, and metal components
Qualifications & experience
* Trade qualification in Carpentry
* Proven experience as a Carpenter
* Knowledge of construction methods and materials
* Strong attention to detail, technical and practical skills
* Commitment to quality
* Good understanding of workplace health and safety
* Ability to work independently and in a team
