**Buyer **to join their merchandising team in their head office in Sydney. Flexibility also to Work From Home
As a Buyer, you will coordinate, lead and drive the following process: selection, design, purchase, production, delivery and allocations to support company growth and maximise sales and profitability.
**Responsibilities**:
- Manage the selection and design of fabrics, styles and trends with the CEO and Head Designer
- Develop, implement and manage inventory purchasing and product pricing to ensure the set GP % targets are met and a return on investment is achieved
- Assist with and identifying opportunities to move inventory within budget requirements
- Provide key stakeholders in relevant sale planning information
- Improve/Implement a buying strategy
- Provide a quarterly analysis of performance by category and style
- Achieve budgeted sales & margin
- Build balanced ranges which maximise sales & minimise markdowns
- Ensure product is delivered to the required standard in a timely manner
**Requirements**:
- 3-4 years minimum experience in a similar Buying Role
- A strong understanding of 'right mix' buying to maximise profits
- Strategic understanding of relevant market and buying knowledge
- Ability to create and further develop strong relationships with our suppliers and key
- stakeholders
- Strong understanding of retail and buying financials
