Maintenance Officer Job Description

Key Responsibilities:
* Fleet Management: Assist with the upkeep and maintenance of our fleet of vehicles, including scheduling routine servicing and addressing any issues promptly.
* Rubbish Removal and Waste Management: Ensure the efficient removal and disposal of waste, adhering to environmental guidelines and regulations.
* Pool Cleaning and Maintenance: Perform regular cleaning and maintenance tasks to ensure the pool remains safe and appealing for residents.
* Building Cleaning and Grounds Maintenance: Conduct daily cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, and pressure cleaning, to maintain a clean and welcoming environment.
Responsibilities also include grounds and garden works, lawn spraying, and responding to maintenance requests in a prompt and efficient manner. Effective communication is crucial in this role, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team is essential.
Requirements and Qualifications:
A strong background in maintenance, preferably in aged care or retirement living, is required. A current First Aid Certificate, Police Check, and valid Driver's License are also mandatory. Excellent communication skills, problem-solving abilities, and attention to detail are highly valued in this role.
The ideal candidate will possess a high level of physical fitness and be able to lift heavy objects, bend, and perform manual labour for extended periods. Familiarity with WHS requirements, safety protocols, and risk management principles is also necessary.
