Indigeco is recruiting multiple Customer Concierge Operators for our client’s Newcastle contact centre. This is a 6 month contract from 22 May 2026 to 21 November 2026, working onsite across a rotating Monday to Friday roster between 7:00am and 7:00pm, excluding public holidays. Reporting to a Team Leader, you will support customers through phone and digital channels, provide accurate information, update records and help deliver a positive customer experience.
ABOUT THE COMPANY
Our client operates within a high-volume NSW Government customer service environment, supporting members of the community to access important services and information. This is a structured contact centre environment with comprehensive training, clear processes and a strong focus on professionalism, accuracy and customer care.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
* Provide friendly, professional and accurate customer service across phone and digital contact centre channels
* Respond to customer enquiries, source information and provide clear guidance in line with policies and procedures
* Update and maintain customer records and databases accurately while meeting privacy and legislative requirements
* Research, analyse and resolve customer enquiries, escalating unresolved or complex matters through the correct channels
* Record and receipt customer complaints accurately and support timely resolution of customer concerns
* Complete administrative and processing tasks in a high-volume environment with strong attention to detail
* Contribute to team performance by meeting service standards, following processes and identifying opportunities to improve ways of working
YOUR REQUIREMENTS
* 2 to 3 years of customer service experience from a call centre, administration, retail or similar customer facing environment
* Previous experience working in an office environment, with government experience highly regarded but not essential
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including strong email etiquette
* Intermediate computer skills including typing, using multiple systems, Microsoft Outlook, Teams and the Microsoft Office suite
* Ability to pick up new systems quickly and work confidently in a structured, technology-based environment
* Availability to work onsite in Newcastle across a rotating roster between 7:00am and 7:00pm, Monday to Friday
* Ability to complete a police check and attend an in-person interview at the Newcastle contact centre if shortlisted
