The Australian Training Manger will lead the development of our learning strategy, manage its implementation and measure its impact across market. They will act as a liaison, provides strategic support to matrix team stakeholders within the affiliate, and manage the end-to-end process to achieve excellent implementation of training operations.
This position will work with BU Heads, Marketing, Medical, Sales Management, and HR as well as International & Worldwide Training & Development teams, and various matrix teams to collaborate and implement key learning initiatives that support BMS Australia business objectives.
**Responsibilities**:
- Within Australia responsible for developing the strategic plan, development and delivery of all training initiatives for commercial sales teams; including disease state/clinical/product knowledge, selling skills, Leadership Development & Account Management skills.
- Responsible for the development and implementation of initial and advanced training curricula for field-based representatives.
- Support the evolution of the omnichannel sales capability through establishing a model for how training supports the building of capability within the sales team as an omnichannel orchestrator.
- Partners with senior leadership to develop training strategies and plans, taking into consideration business priorities and resources.
- Mutual and continuous partnering with stakeholders to ensure business priorities are achieved, we understand business strategy, are included in business strategy discussion, and align training to it.
- Develop & design innovative learning solutions that demonstrate value (effective & efficient) and leverage technology, platforms and processes to meet the needs of the business and the learner.
- Advocating for the learner through educating and emphasising Adult Learning Principles (ALP) with key stakeholders (make them the advocates for the learner).
- Collaborate on key product launch initiatives with the internal teams including International Training Managers, Worldwide Training & Development teams, Marketing, Sales Management, and matrix partners utilising WW and International tools & resources.
- Develop and monitor metrics to evaluate the success of training events across the market
- Contract with the HR L&D Department to align Field Force training initiatives with HR strategy and objectives
- Consistently demonstrate value to the business through communication, aligned objectives and agreed upon metrics.
- Ensure appropriate tracking and documentation of learning in accordance with company policy and local regulations.
- Co-ordinate training delivery with external partners as needed.
- Ensure ongoing analysis of field training needs based on current and future requirements of the business and changing internal/external environment.
**Qualifications, experience and competencies**:
- Bachelor's Degree required
- Minimum of four years of sales experience with a strong sales and behavioural performance history
- Training/L&D experience
- Healthcare/Pharmaceutical experience (preferred)
- Experience working in Oncology, Haematology and/or Immunology therapy areas (preferred)
- Training experience required
- Strong product and disease state knowledge, and marketplace knowledge (preferred)
- Demonstrated ability to lead process initiatives and deliver results across multiple matrix teams (Medical, Legal, Marketing, Sales, Compliance, Operations)
- Intermediate knowledge of adult learning principles and learning design
- Strong Communication, organizational and interpersonal skills, and proven project management experience
- Effective facilitation and presentation skills
- Ability to prioritize, manage and execute on multiple projects simultaneously
- Ability to effectively collaborate with key stakeholders to achieve business objectives and priorities
- Diligent attention to detail, accuracy, timeliness and follow-up
