MLA is seeking a commercially driven National Online Sales Manager to lead and grow our web-based retail sales channel for new forklifts across Australia.
This newly created role will focus on converting digital and inbound enquiries into profitable new equipment sales, supporting customers nationwide through a professional, efficient, and consultative online sales process.
About the Role
Reporting to the National Sales Manager, you will own MLA's national online sales performance for new forklifts, working closely with marketing, Branch teams, and OEM partners. This is an inside-sales role with no territory travel, suited to a high-performing sales professional who understands how customers research and purchase capital equipment online.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage and convert all website and digital enquiries for new forklift sales nationally
* Engage customers via phone, email, and video to understand applications and recommend suitable equipment
* Prepare timely, accurate quotations and proposals in line with MLA pricing and margin guidelines
* Negotiate and close sales while maximising gross margin and conversion rates
* Own and manage the online sales pipeline through CRM
* Work with marketing to improve website conversion, online listings, promotions, and lead quality
* Provide professional handover of sold units to Branch operations for fulfilment and delivery
* Monitor competitor activity, pricing, and market trends
* Report on lead volumes, conversion rates, order value, and sales performance
About You
* Proven experience in inside sales, online sales, or B2B phone-based sales
* Strong commercial acumen with the ability to close deals remotely
* Experience selling forklifts, capital equipment, industrial machinery, or automotive equipment highly regarded
* Confident using CRM systems and digital sales tools
* Results-driven, organised, and comfortable owning national sales targets
* Professional communicator with a customer-focused, consultative approach
