📍 Pinjarra Workshop | Residential Role – Home Every Night
🕒 Full-Time | Mon–Fri (6:00am–4:00pm)
💰 $55–$60/hr + Super + Overtime
The Role
We’re looking for an experienced Mechanical Fitter Leading Hand to help set up and lead pump rebuild operations in a brand-new workshop at Pinjarra.
This is a hands-on role — ideal for a senior fitter who takes pride in quality rebuild work, can lead from the floor, and wants to help build systems, standards, and team culture from day one.
You’ll be working on stripping, rebuilding, assembling, and testing dewatering pumps and rotating equipment in a modern, well-equipped workshop.

Key Responsibilities
Pump Rebuild & Assembly:
* Lead stripping, inspection, rebuilds, assembly and testing
* Fault finding and troubleshooting during builds
* Support commissioning and final testing
Workshop Leadership:
* Mentor junior fitters and assemblers
* Coordinate workflow with fabrication and production teams
* Maintain output, quality, and schedule targets
* Promote safe work practices and good housekeeping
Quality & Improvement:
* Carry out QA checks and final inspections
* Read drawings, BOMs and technical specs
* Complete accurate build documentation
* Help improve SOPs and workshop processes
What You’ll Need
Essential:
* Mechanical Fitter / Fitter & Turner / Diesel Mechanic trade
* 5+ years workshop experience
* Previous Leading Hand or senior fitter experience
* Strong pump or rotating equipment rebuild experience
* Ability to read engineering drawings
* C Class driver’s licence
* Forklift ticket (LF)
* Ability to pass medical & drug/alcohol screening
Desirable:
* Overhead crane ticket
* LR/MR licence
* 12/24V wiring experience
