About Cricket ACT
Cricket ACT is the governing body for cricket in the Australian Capital Territory, responsible for the leadership, development and promotion of the game across community, club, pathway and high‑performance environments.
Working in close partnership with Cricket Australia, the ACT Government, member associations, clubs, schools and commercial partners, Cricket ACT plays a critical role in ensuring cricket remains accessible, inclusive, sustainable and successful across the region.
Cricket ACT oversees participation programs from entry‑level juniors through to elite pathways, including the ACT Meteors and ACT Comets, and supports a vibrant club cricket system that underpins the sport’s long‑term health in the Territory.

Cricket has been played in the ACT since the early 20th century, with organised competitions emerging alongside the growth of Canberra as the nation’s capital. Cricket ACT was formally established to provide unified governance and strategic leadership for the sport in the Territory.
Over time, Cricket ACT has:

The Opportunity

Reporting to the Board, the CEO will provide strategic, operational and cultural leadership, ensuring Cricket ACT continues to:

Key Responsibilities
The Chief Executive Officer will:
* Lead the development and delivery of Cricket ACT’s next strategic plan
* Provide effective leadership to staff and volunteers across the organisation
* Build strong relationships with the Board, Cricket Australia, government and key stakeholders
* Ensure sound financial management, reporting and compliance
* Represent Cricket ACT as a credible and influential leader within the sport
* Drive a culture of inclusion, safety, integrity and high performance
* Oversee risk management, governance and organisational sustainability
Skills and Experience
Cricket ACT is seeking a CEO with a blend of strategic leadership, commercial acumen and stakeholder capability.
Essential Skills and Experience
* Proven experience as a CEO or senior executive in sport, government, not‑for‑profit or a complex member‑based organisation
* Strong strategic planning and execution capability
* Demonstrated financial and commercial management expertise
* Experience working with boards and governance frameworks
* Exceptional stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills
* Proven people leadership experience, including leading teams through change
