**About New Turee Pty Ltd**
New Turee is an O'Brien family-owned and Nash family-operated cattle breeding, backgrounding, and finishing pastoral company operating stations located at Cassilis ("Yarralee"), Woodville ("Stradbroke"), Coolah ("Old Turee") and Barraba ("Plumthorpe") in New South Wales.
**About the Role**
New Turee Pty Limited is seeking a Horticultural Hand to work at the "Stradbroke" station. The primary purpose of this role is to ensure the efficient and effective management of the gardens, plants and irrigation on the property.
The property is a cattle breeding, backgrounding, and finishing operation. You will be reporting directly to the Head Gardner.
This full-time role is based on the iconic station, "Stradbroke", located near Woodville, NSW and is an opportunity for the right person to progress in an engaging and rewarding career.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- General maintenance of trees and landscaping features
- Monitor health and diseases of plants around the property
- Regular maintenance, planting, pruning and watering of plants around the property
- Maintain and instal irrigation systems
- Operate and maintain gardening equipment
**Key Performance Indicators (KPI's)**:
- As set periodically by the Head Gardener

**Workplace Health and Safety**
- You are required to carry out the duties of your role safely, ensuring you comply with the Workplace Health & Safety Policy as well as the governing legislation in the area where you work.
**Experience & Qualifications**:
- At least 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the agriculture industry
- Strong leadership skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A strong understanding of gardening and landscaping on working properties
- Knowledge of applicable regulations and standards
- The ability to develop and implement strategies to improve efficiency and effectiveness
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team
**Desirable Attributes**:
- Hold a valid NSW license
- Cert III in horticulture or equivalent
- Chemical handling certificate and experience

- Australia (preferred)
