Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to provide home help services to our aged care clients.
* Provide general housekeeping and make beds for clients
* Clean, mop, and vacuum floors as needed
* Wash, fold, and iron laundry for clients
* Prepare meals and go grocery shopping as required
In addition to these tasks, you will also be providing personal care services such as:
* Assisting clients with bathing and dressing for the day
* Helping clients take their medications
* Assisting with mobility and therapy goals
* Providing complex care for customers with high care needs, such as dementia
* Offering social and emotional support
* Transporting clients to lifestyle activities or appointments
* Supporting family carers by giving them a break or allowing them to pursue other activities
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* A valid Australian driver's license and your own insured, roadworthy vehicle
* Certificate III or above in Aged Care or Individual Support or Disability
* At least 6 months experience in a similar role, including personal care, manual handling, hoist training, and assisting with medications
