The Commis Chef reports to the Head Chef and is responsible for assisting chefs to provide the finest quality product which is presented in a timely and efficient manner and at all times maintaining a clean and hygienic workstation. Expand your knowledge on dishes working under our Head Chef, meet new people and join our new Culinary team and contribute to our opening success. A few of your responsibilities will include: Assist Head Chef and other culinary team to ensure all meals are served at appropriate times Maintain and re-order stock as required Ensure all routines are followed in accordance with company policy and procedures Strive to minimise food wastage What we are looking for: Previous experience in a kitchen environment is advantageous. Culinary qualifications or relevant certifications are a plus. Basic knowledge of cooking methods, food safety, and kitchen equipment. Proficient in managing competing priorities and working to deadlines. Foundational interpersonal and communication skills. Knowledge of venue and / or events management and hospitality. About You: You will be an experienced Commis Chef with prior experience in assisting a chef in a fast-paced environment. You will be passionate about food and providing a mouth-watering experience for our guests and contributing to fun and collaborative team environment.
