About Our Schools
The Northern Territory Department of Education supports over 34,000 students across 153 government schools in the NT. Our communities are rich in diversity, with 14,000+ Aboriginal students and nearly half of all students speaking a language other than English.
Key Responsibilities:
* Delivering Engaging Lessons: Plan and deliver lessons aligned with the Australian Curriculum that cater to diverse learning needs.
* Creating Inclusive Classrooms: Develop classrooms that support student wellbeing and learning, promoting positive relationships and effective behaviour management.
* Assessing Student Progress: Track and report on student progress, engaging with families and communities as part of teaching practice.
Requirements:
* Teacher Registration: Registered or eligible for registration with the Teacher Registration Board NT.
* Working with Children Clearance: Able to obtain a Working with Children Clearance (Ochre Card).
* LANTITE Test Completion: If you completed your teacher education after July 2016, proof of LANTITE test completion required.
