The Role
This is a hands-on role where you'll be responsible for delivering consistent, high-quality meals for both our dine-in guests and takeaway customers. You won't just be following a ticket—you'll be a key player in our kitchen's success and creative direction.
* Hours: Approximately 35 hours per week.
* Schedule: Daytime shifts, though weekend availability is a must
Your Responsibilities
* The Classics: Prepare and cook our core menu, including burgers, wraps, salads, and standard breakfast favorites (eggs, smashed avo, etc.).
* Plating & Presentation: Maintain high standards for every dish; we eat with our eyes first
* Catering: Efficiently produce and pack catering orders for local events and businesses.
* Creativity: Develop and execute Daily Specials to keep our menu fresh and exciting.
* Cleanliness: Maintain a spotless kitchen, adhering to all food safety and hygiene regulations.
What We're Looking For
* Experience: Proven experience in a fast-paced cafe or commercial kitchen.
* Skills: Strong short-order cooking skills and the ability to multitask under pressure.
* Eye for Detail: A commitment to consistent presentation and quality control.
* Reliability: You show up on time, ready to lead the line.
* Communication: A team player who can coordinate with front-of-house staff seamlessly.
