**The Company**
Robert Half is currently recruiting for an experienced and dedicated Accounts Payable Officer to join a well-established and growing privately owned manufacturing organisation based in South Melbourne.
Our client is a well-known and well-respected market leader in their industry, who have grown considerably over the past calendar year.
This position is initially offered on a full-time temporary contract, with a view of becoming permanent in the next 3 months.
**The Role**
Reporting to the Finance Manager, this role will see you working in a friendly and team focused environment where your duties will include:
- Processing of supplier invoices with attention to detail and accuracy
- Matching and verifying purchase orders to invoices
- Communicating with suppliers to resolve queries.
- Reconciliation of accounts
- Scheduling and preparing payments
- Managing supplier ledgers of different currencies.
- Submit weekly estimates of funds required for Payment Runs
- Verifying Tax invoices, in accordance with GST requirements
- Processing of orders and prepayments
- Preparation of sales invoices
**Your Profile**
To be successful in this role you will have a minimum 12 months' experience in a high-volume transactional environment. You will need to demonstrate prior practical experience working with MYOB, as well as possess an intermediate level of Excel skills (pivot tables/ V-lookups).
Excellent communication skills, a customer service approach, and the ability to work to deadlines is also required.
