Overview
We are currently seeking a Senior Civil Engineer to lead complex civil projects within our East Coast business unit. The successful candidate will bring 8-15 years of experience primarily within the mineral resources and mining non-process infrastructure sectors, with a high level of technical expertise and the ability to provide strategic direction across a diverse portfolio of projects.
Responsibilities
* Lead the end-to-end design, development, and verification of civil engineering solutions, including detailed designs, drawings, specifications, and technical reports for mineral resources and mining non-process infrastructure.
* Ensure robust design solutions and verify their integrity, while contributing to high-quality technical documentation.
* Manage complex stakeholder relationships, representing Wave International in high-level project meetings, site inspections, and industry forums.
* Mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering technical excellence and professional growth.
* Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated project outcomes on time and within budget.
Qualifications and experience
* 8-15 years of civil engineering experience, with a strong background focused on mining or resources.
* Extensive technical expertise in civil engineering design principles, including proficiency in design software and design verification processes specific to the resource sector.
* Proven ability to deliver high-quality technical documentation, such as detailed engineering reports and specifications, with meticulous attention to detail.
* Strong leadership and communication skills, with experience managing clients, contractors, and internal multi-disciplinary teams.
* Demonstrated success in delivering complex projects under tight deadlines while maintaining quality and safety standards.
* Familiarity with Australian mining regulations and standards (e.g., QLD Coal Mining Safety and Health Act).
* RPEQ Certification advantageous but not mandatory.
