About the Role
As an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer, you will primarily be responsible for supporting and assisting Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineers and performing maintenance tasks under supervision.
Main tasks and duties of the role will include, but are not limited to :
* Assisting in performing aircraft maintenance activities in accordance with approved data and under the guidance of licensed engineers and in line with company procedures
* Reporting any significant aircraft defects to the supervising LAME
* Participating in business improvement initiatives by contributing suggestions or supporting implementation as directed
* Organising and completing assigned maintenance tasks efficiently and under LAME supervision
* Applying developing technical knowledge to assist LAMEs with troubleshooting and resolving mechanical or electrical issues
* Working efficiently within the maintenance team, following directions from senior technicians and LAMEs in a careful manner
* Assisting LAMEs and senior technicians with investigations of aircraft incidents or maintenance issues, contributing to implementing corrective actions where appropriate
* At all times, following the instructions and safety guidelines provided by LAMEs and supervisors
* Attending regularly scheduled training sessions to become familiar with internal procedures and regulatory standards
Qualifications and Experience
* Certificate IV in Aeroskills or equivalent
* 5+ years' experience in Mechanical in a Line or Base Maintenance environment
* Experience working within a Safety Management System
* Ability to communicate effectively at all levels
* Proven organisational and problem-solving skills
* Basic computer literacy
* Demonstrated knowledge of PART 145 regulatory framework
* Resourceful and lateral thinking
