Financial Operations Specialist
We are seeking an experienced Financial Operations Specialist to support our commercial / finance business operations in North East Victoria.
* Prepare and review financial statements, reports, and reconciliations.
* Manage month-end and year-end closing processes.
* Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and company policies.
* Monitor budgets, forecasts, and financial performance.
* Oversee accounts payable, receivable, payroll, and general ledger functions.
* Conduct variance analysis and provide insights to management.
* Liaise with auditors, tax agents, and regulatory authorities.
* Identify process improvements and implement stronger financial controls.
* Support business decision-making through analysis and reporting.
Requirements
* Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA/CA qualification highly regarded).
* Candidate must demonstrate 5 years' experience in a similar accounting role.
* Strong knowledge of accounting principles, tax compliance, and reporting standards.
* Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., MYOB, Xero, SAP, or similar) and advanced MS Excel skills.
* High attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving ability.
* Excellent time management and organisational skills to meet deadlines.
* Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to work across teams.
* Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
