Maintenance Supervisor - Soho House Brighton
Location: Brighton
The role includes leading the maintenance team and ensuring all club areas (public spaces, guest areas, kitchen, spa, gym, back‐of‐house) remain in excellent condition.
Key responsibilities:
* Supervise daily maintenance operations of the property, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC and general repairs.
* Allocate and monitor tasks to maintenance technicians, ensuring quality and timely completion.
* Conduct regular inspections of all building areas and equipment, identifying and addressing maintenance issues proactively.
* Liaise with external contractors and vendors, ensuring all works are delivered to standard and on schedule.
* Maintain and manage the Preventative Maintenance Schedule (PPM).
* Ensure all maintenance work complies with relevant health, safety and environmental standards.
* Keep accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment logs, permits and safety inspections.
* Support the club's operations team during events or emergency repair situations.
* Collaborate closely with housekeeping, kitchen, spa and operations teams to minimise downtime or disruption.
* Train and mentor junior team members to uphold high standards of work and safety awareness.
Requirements:
* 3–5 years in a building maintenance or engineering role, with 1–2 years in a supervisory capacity.
* Broad technical knowledge across mechanical, electrical, plumbing and general facilities upkeep.
* Experience managing contractors, PPM schedules and maintenance logs.
* Strong leadership, communication and problem‐solving skills.
* Knowledge of health & safety legislation, risk assessments and compliance standards.
