Our sensing technologies are being utilised or trialled in medical, aeronautical, and space industries.
* Design and develop advanced algorithms and sensor fusion system solutions for the mining and aerospace industries.
* Develop novel ideas and sensor system technology advancements.
As part of our team, you will contribute to groundbreaking R&D including algorithm design and sensor fusion system designs, leveraging technologies like computer vision, LiDAR, time-of-flight, radar, accelerometers, and other sensing modalities.
Applications will be assessed across two capability levels, and the successful candidate will be appointed at the level commensurate with their skills and experience.
Requirements
* A PhD (or equivalent qualifications and research experience) in a relevant field such as physics, mathematics, computer science, with experience in computer vision.
* Demonstrated publication history of authorship on scientific papers in peer-reviewed journals and/or reports, grant applications or inventorship on patent applications.
* Several years' experience in prototyping, designing, testing, and documenting algorithms in computer vision applications.
Prior knowledge or proven experience of specific technical skills would also be beneficial:
* Expertise in development and deployment of photogrammetric, computer vision, LiDAR, time-of-flight, radar, accelerometers, photogrammetry systems (software and hardware) in industrial settings.
* Experience with open-source libraries such as OpenCV and Point Cloud Library (PCL), and languages like MATLAB, Python, C++.
