About the role The Facilities Officer is responsible for delivering a broad range of facilities and asset management services across multiple TAFE NSW sites. This includes undertaking minor maintenance and repairs, coordinating site access, supporting emergency and safety activities, managing stock and supplies, and ensuring facilities are safe, functional and well‑maintained. The role also provides day‑to‑day support to contracted service providers by confirming work requirements, coordinating site inductions and monitoring performance. The Facilities Officer contributes to maintaining high standards of customer service, safety and compliance while effectively using computerised systems to support operational tasks. The role also assists with broader facilities initiatives, campus events and logistics activities, helping to ensure positive outcomes for staff, students and visitors across the TAFE NSW network This full-time opportunity is located at the TAFE NSW Ourimbah Campus. About You You are a proactive, hands‑on facilities professional with experience working in property, building, or trades‑related environments. You’re confident coordinating contractors, supporting on‑site works, and carrying out minor maintenance tasks to ensure facilities remain safe, functional and compliant. You bring strong communication skills, a customer‑focused approach, and the ability to stay calm, flexible and solutions‑focused when responding to changing priorities or urgent issues. You’re comfortable using computerised systems to manage work tasks and complete administration, and you take accountability for working safely and responsibly. You hold (or can obtain) the required licences, including a Working with Children Check and Class C driver licence, and you’re willing to travel across regional sites as needed. Above all, you value teamwork, integrity, and delivering high‑quality service to support positive outcomes for TAFE NSW staff, students and visitors Essential Requirements:
* A valid Working with Children Check (required prior to commencement).
* Certificate IV in relevant discipline or equivalent skills, knowledge and experience.
* Experience applying knowledge of property, building or trades related industry to liaise with contractors, monitor work standards and compliance and perform minor maintenance tasks.
* Demonstrated experience performing administration tasks and using computerised systems to support work activities.
* Minimum class C drivers and forklift licences or willingness and ability to obtain; and willingness to update licences/certifications and undertake essential training as required.
* Willingness and ability to travel and work at sites across the regional network as required.
