INITIAL ASSIGNMENT INCLUSIVE SUPPORTS
REQUIREMENTS:
1. Bachelor's Degree from a recognized University or degree-granting institution in Behavioural Sciences, Applied Disability Studies, or Psychology.
2. 2-3 years previous employment experience working with people with intellectual and developmental disabilities and under the supervision of a BCBA/R.B.A. (Ont.).
3. Masters Degree or working toward is an asset.
4. This requires the successful candidate to have a valid Ontario Driver's License. The successful candidate would have to provide proof that s/he has a valid driver's license upon being hired.
5. Must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19; boosters are required when eligible.
DUTIES:
1. Working under the guidance of a Board Certified Behaviour Analyst (BCBA)/Registered Behaviour Analyst (R.B.A) (Ont.)
2. Conducting and administering individualized functional behaviour assessments (FBA) and curriculum-based assessments, including but not limited to: indirect and direct assessments, FAI, AFLS, EFL, etc.
3. Analyzing assessment data to select and inform appropriate evidence-based interventions.
4. Developing, monitoring, evaluating individual behaviour support plans (BSP) and behaviour support strategies (BSS).
5. Designing/developing data collection systems; maintaining and analyzing/interpreting ongoing data collection, and under the guidance of a BCBA/R.B.A. (Ont.) making clinical recommendations to revise or make changes to BSPs, BSSs, etc (data based/informed decision making).
6. Supporting the application of behavioural treatment goals and programs into Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) practices.
7. Preparing and delivering/facilitating coaching and mediator training through consultation, workshops, and collaboration.
8. Providing team strategies and support using ABA through a consultative and coaching model, using evidence-based Behaviour Skills Training (BST) model.
9. Designing and facilitating training, coaching, and mediation.
10. Work as part of a team and be flexible and responsive to shifting service demands.
HOURS OF WORK:
1. Committed to a regular 80 hour bi-weekly schedule that meets the needs of the people we support.
2. Flexibility of evening and weekend work when required.
