About the role
The Business Services Officer at the Tasmanian Racing Integrity Commissioner (TasRIC) is a member of a small team of specialists and reports directly to the Tasmanian Racing Integrity Commissioner and the Executive Director, Legal and Policy. The position duties include:
* Administration support tasks, including diary management, organising travel arrangements, document management, email management, and preparing presentations.
* Supporting strategic issues and the application and compliance with corporate policies and procedures.
* Facilities management tasks, including managing the procurement of works, contracts, and maintenance.
* Receiving and processing all incoming enquiries and complaints, lodging and allocating them in TasRIC's case management system.
* Managing project activities through detailed project plans, schedules, and monitoring progress.
* Is experienced in providing secretarial support and undertaking business administration activities.
* Demonstrates excellent organizational skills and proven capacity to work autonomously.
* Possesses strong interpersonal and communication skills.
* Demonstrates initiative, flexibility, and creativity.

The Tasmanian Racing Integrity Commissioner is tasked with:
* Making integrity and animal welfare Standards in racing and monitoring the regulation and administration of racing.
* Gathering information, holding investigations, conducting inquiries, and issuing recommendations to participants in the racing industry to assure racing integrity and animal welfare meet contemporary community expectations.
* Promoting compliance, facilitating engagement and cooperation in relation to racing integrity and animal welfare.
* Providing advice and an annual report to the Minister for Racing that will be tabled in Parliament.
