About the role The APY Lands Service Manager leads integrated, culturally responsive child and adolescent mental health services across the APY Lands. The role provides operational leadership, manages services and resources, and works closely with Aboriginal staff and stakeholders. It also offers clinical leadership while supporting Anangu workforce development and community health outcomes. AHP4: Key duties of the role Develop, coordinate, and deliver clinically appropriate mental health services to children, adolescents, and their families on the APY Lands. Ensure effective management of human, physical, financial, and administrative resources while supporting staff development to maintain high-quality clinical skills. Facilitate interagency collaboration to improve service development and delivery, while ensuring consumer participation and culturally responsive care. Maintain required professional standards and registration through ongoing professional development, continuing education, and the achievement of clinical expertise. Contribute to Child and Adolescent Mental Health service planning while fostering a positive, safe, and supportive workplace culture. Skills and Experience Eligible qualification and current registration with AASW, AHPRA (Psychology), or AHPRA (Occupational Therapy) Demonstrated experience in clinical leadership or management within a multidisciplinary mental health or community setting Experience working effectively with Aboriginal communities and applying culturally responsive models of care Proven ability to deliver complex clinical assessment and intervention for children, adolescents, and families Strong understanding of relevant legislation, WHS, and quality improvement frameworks in health services RN4: Develop, coordinate and deliver clinically appropriate mental health and child developmental services to children, adolescents and their families on the APY Lands. Initiate, implement and co-ordinate processes for quality improvement and continuity within corporate risk management and professional practice frameworks. Develop and maintain a learning environment, taking a coaching approach to team development, individual capability development and performance development. Initiate and contribute to research and evaluation activities to improve multidisciplinary practice, service delivery, and overall client outcomes. Provide expert leadership and advice in child and adolescent mental health, supporting service improvement, model of care development, and culturally safe practice across state and national systems Skills and Experience Registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and who holds, or who is eligible to hold, a current practicing certificate, and enrolled in an approved Mental Health course or holds a qualification in mental health practice.
