Following recent growth in Queensland, the organisation is expanding its water engineering capability to support their clients operational teams across the central and northern regions.
The Role This role provides high-level operational process engineering support across multiple water treatment plants in South East Queensland.
It is a long-term embedded position focused on stabilising plant performance, solving operational issues, and driving continuous improvement across several regional sites.
The Senior Process Engineer will work closely with plant operators, operations leaders, and asset planning teams to diagnose process deviations, manage upsets, improve reliability, and ensure regulatory compliance.
This is a hands-on, site-facing role requiring regular travel between multiple plants.
The initial assignment is 20 months, typically delivered through rolling 12-month contracts, with strong likelihood of extension and future redeployment.
Key Responsibilities candidates without RPEQ must be willing to obtain it.
Experience working hands-on in operational environments not purely design or desk-based roles.
Demonstrated ability to manage process investigations, solve complex problems, and deliver measurable improvements.
Strong understanding of hazard analysis, risk mgmt and safety-critical operations.
Ability to travel to multiple sites weekly (approx. three days per week in the field).
Candidates must be eligible to work in Qld; relocation support available if required.
