About QIMR Berghofer
QIMR Berghofer is a world-leading translational medical research institute focused on improving health by developing new diagnostics, better treatments and prevention strategies in Cancer, Infection and Inflammation, Mental Health and Neuroscience, and Population Health. About Statistical Genetics Laboratory
The Statistical Genetics laboratory at QIMR Berghofer comprises staff and students working on statistical methods development and applications to data within the Population Health Program.
Role Purpose / Responsibilities
* This part-time (0.8FTE) role involves recruiting eligible participants for studies focusing on chronic diseases, managing research ethics and maintaining accurate records of all recruitment activities.
* Liaise with the study team, collaborators and national/international stakeholders to coordinate participant enrolment and data collection.
* Draft relevant research documents and assist with designing online surveys, data entry and cleaning as required.
* Adhere to study protocols and timelines while maintaining confidentiality and respecting the privacy of participants.
About You
We seek a highly motivated and organised Research Assistant with a Bachelor's or Master's degree in a health-related field.
* Experience in study participant enrolment is highly desirable.
* Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex information clearly and concisely.
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
* Attention to detail and accuracy in data collection and record-keeping.
* Understanding of ethical guidelines and regulations related to human subjects' research.
Remuneration
A competitive salary ($60,922 - $71,272 p.a. pro rata) plus super and generous salary packaging is offered for this part-time (0.8 FTE), fixed-term appointment for 12 months.
