ABOUT THE ROLE O2F is seeking an Automation Test Engineer to join our team in Ballarat Central, Victoria on a full-time basis.
As an Automation Test Engineer at O2F you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of web and API applications through comprehensive manual and automated testing.
You will design, develop, and maintain test automation frameworks, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and drive continuous improvements in testing efficiency and effectiveness.
Key responsibilities
Specify, develop, write and execute test strategies, plans, and cases across web (Angular, Salesforce, React) and API applications.
Carry out end-to-end, integration, and regression testing across web and API platforms.
Utilise tools such as Postman, Splunk, Oracle SQL Developer, MongoDB, and OpenShift for system and regression testing.
Implement CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Azure DevOps) to automate regression testing and continuously monitor execution status.
Analyse test reports, identify the root causes of failures or defects and drive corrective actions that improve overall system stability.
Design, build, and maintain automation frameworks using Selenium (Java), WebDriverIO, Karate, MS Test (C#), and other industry-standard tools.
Migrate and modernise frameworks to significantly improve scalability and performance (e.g., transitioning from Protractor to WebDriverIO, upgrading .NET 4.7.2 to .NET 8).
Collaborate with Business Analysts, Product Owners, and Developers, to clarify requirements and resolve defects.
Mentor junior team members, fostering skill development and knowledge sharing.
If successful, you will be paid a salary ranging from $85,000 to $95,000 per annum.
What you will bring to the role
Relevant Bachelor's degree or higher qualification
Minimum of 3-years work experience in automation testing
Demonstrated ability to work well in a team
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Proficiency in the following skills & tools:
Programming: Java, JavaScript, TypeScript, C#
Frameworks: Selenium, WebDriverIO, Karate, MS Test, xUnit, TestNG, JUnit, Maven, Cucumber (BDD)
Tools: Jenkins, Azure DevOps, Postman, Splunk, Oracle SQL Developer, MongoDB, Rally, Xray, HP Quality Center
Methodologies: Agile, CI/CD, Functional Testing (Web & API), Cloud (AWS, Azure)
