Position Information

Ulladulla Public School has 700 students, including 11% from an Aboriginal background. We celebrate and embrace the diverse cultures and strengths of our school community.

The school consists of five Support Unit classes—one Intellectually Mild (IM) and four Multi‐Category (MC) classes—alongside 25 mainstream classes, ensuring a supportive and inclusive environment for all learners.

Our dedicated teaching team is a balanced mix of early, mid, and late‐career educators, bringing together experience, innovation, and a shared commitment to high‐quality teaching and learning.

We foster strong partnerships with our community, valuing parent and caregiver input and striving to create meaningful opportunities for engagement in the education of their children.

Through self‐evaluation against the School Excellence Framework, we have identified key focus areas to drive continuous improvement:

* Curriculum – We implement an integrated approach to quality teaching, curriculum planning, and assessment, ensuring responsive, high‐impact learning experiences that meet the needs of all students.
* Effective Classroom Practice – Our teachers are dedicated to refining their practice by implementing evidence‐based, explicit teaching strategies that maximize student engagement and achievement.

Our School Improvement Plan is strategically aligned to raising student achievement in Literacy and Numeracy, with a particular focus on Reading and Whole Number. We recognize that effective teaching makes the biggest difference in student outcomes, and professional development is purposefully designed to build capacity in our staff.

Strong systems and structures are in place to monitor student growth, track progress, and provide parents with timely and accessible information about their child's learning journey.

We are committed to fostering a culture of high expectations, respect, and excellence. By embracing professional learning, strengthening student and community voice, and maintaining a focus on quality teaching and evidence‐based practices, we ensure that every child is empowered to connect, succeed, and thrive.

Specific Selection Criteria

* Demonstrated leadership in fostering student wellbeing and sustainable community connections to authentically promote a positive and culturally supportive school environment for all.
* Outstanding capacity to inspire and model highly effective educational practices, fostering continuous improvement, innovation and a culture of high expectations for both staff and students.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a demonstrated ability to actively uphold school priorities.
* Expertise in leading and supporting teachers to use individual and collective student data to inform evidence‐based explicit teaching and innovative curriculum reforms.

* Knowledge of curriculum, assessment and student welfare with the ability to lead and design quality, inclusive teaching and learning programs.
* Educational leadership skills to build the capacity and manage the performance of individuals and teams.
