ABOUT THE ROLE
We are immediately seeking a fulltime permanent Mechanical Fitter to join our Service Team in Townsville, QLD.
Duties will include maintenance and repair of overhead cranes and lifting equipment.
* To perform repair work to cranes, Installations of cranes, hoists and materials handling equipment and from time to time other equipment in a professional and tradesman like manner.
* Fitting fabricated metal parts into products and assembling metal parts and sub assemblies to produce machines and equipment.
* Checking fabricated and assembled metal parts for accuracy, clearance and fit using precision measuring instruments
ABOUT YOU
* Mechanical Fitter Trade qualification is essential
* 3- 5 years of experience in Cranes, lifting equipment's or Manufacturing industry
* Sound Mechanical aptitude
* High Risk Card EWP, OHS white card
* Certificate of proficiency
* Ability to work with minimal supervision
* Ability to manage multiple tasks
* Effective troubleshooting and problem solving ability
* Must be well organized and show effective time management skills
* Must have a current manual Drivers License
* Must be safety conscious and the ability to promote a safe environment
* Must be available to work overtime and travel to remote sites when required
* Sound Mechanical aptitude
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
* Full Time Permanent
* Field Work
* Travel required from time to time.
* Work vehicle provided for work travel purposes.
* 38 hours work week with potential overtime.
* Work standard time is 7am - 3.06pm (potential overtime including weekend)
