We are seeking motivated individuals to join our team as Driver Assistants working across multiple site locations in Gracemere & Gladstone. These casual roles provide an excellent entry point into the rail industry, even if you have no prior experience.

About the Role
As aCasual Locomotive Driver Assistant, you'll play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of rail services. You'll work closely with Train Crew, Operational Staff, Maintenance and Terminal teams, as well as Network Control, in a fast-paced and collaborative environment. This role offers valuable hands-on experience, where you'll assist in a variety of rail operational tasks while being supported by a dedicated team.
Your Training Journey
- Initial paid classroom & practical training (38 hours per week).
- Assist in various rail operational tasks, gaining hands-on experience in a supportive environment.
- Training school will be held in Rockhampton (Candidates are responsible for arranging their own accommodation and travel during the classroom and practical training).

Requirements
- Ability to pass a CAT 1 Rail Medical and fitness assessment
- Current full Class C or higher Driver's Licence (no restrictions)
- Current First Aid Certificate (or willingness to obtain)
- Valid National Police Clearance(with no court outcomes)
- Basic computer skills
- Strong literacy and numeracy skills to complete written assessments
