Job Duties
* Conduct underground surveying activities, including measurement, mapping, and monitoring of mining operations accurately.
* Utilize advanced technologies such as LiDAR scanners and drones for data collection and analysis.
* Perform void management, deformation monitoring, and installation of survey control systems consistently.
* Prepare detailed reports, including end-of-month production and survey documentation, accurately and efficiently.
* Collaborate with mining teams to ensure survey data supports operational planning and execution effectively.
* Use specialized software such as Deswik to model underground environments and improve operational insights.
* Maintain compliance with safety standards while working within underground mining environments consistently.
Job Requirements
* Recognized qualification in surveying, including a diploma, TAFE certification, or relevant tertiary education.
* Experience in underground mining or tunnelling environments is highly desirable for this position.
* Strong understanding of modern survey instruments and data collection techniques in mining operations.
* Familiarity with Deswik software and working with point clouds, DTMs, and 3D modeling tools.
