The Role
As General Manager, you’ll oversee all aspects of Childcare Hive’s service delivery, team leadership, systems development, and business performance. You’ll ensure our partner centres receive exceptional support, while driving continuous improvement within our organisation.
This is a strategic role with a strong operational heartbeat, perfect for someone who loves building capability, improving processes, and leading a high-performing team.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead and grow Childcare Hive’s administration support services across partner centres
• Manage and mentor a multidisciplinary head-office team (admin, finance, data)
• Oversee service standards, workflows, and support processes to ensure consistency and excellence
• Ensure all support services meet regulatory requirements within the early childhood sector
• Develop and implement systems, technology, and operational improvements
• Build and maintain strong relationships with partnering childcare centres and sector stakeholders
• Drive business performance, reporting, and strategic planning
• Identify opportunities for service expansion and long-term organisational growth
• Champion a positive, collaborative company culture
About You
You’re a confident, solutions-focused leader who thrives on creating clarity, optimising processes, and empowering teams. You understand the childcare sector and know how to deliver exceptional support to service providers.
You will bring:
• Leadership experience in early childhood education, childcare administration, or a related service sector
• Strong understanding of NQF/NQS requirements and regulatory obligations
• Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and manage organisational operations
• Experience in business systems, workflow optimisation, or service delivery improvement
• Commercial acumen and experience managing budgets and KPIs
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
• Relevant qualifications in business, management, or early childhood (preferred)
