Driller Position
The role of a driller is crucial in our underground operations, responsible for executing long hole activities to maintain smooth and safe mining processes.
Key Responsibilities:
* Conducting precise long hole drilling using mechanised equipment, adhering to design specifications with attention to detail.
* Interpreting and following mine plans confidently—drilling to line, gradient, and profile with precision.
* Setting up and troubleshooting long hole drill rigs to ensure seamless and safe operation.
* Completing thorough pre-start checks and ensuring all equipment is safe and operational.
* Collaborating with the shift supervisor and previous crew to stay informed and aligned on the work area and daily priorities.
Requirements:
* Residency in the Parkes area or willingness to relocate to this thriving regional community.
* At least 12 months of experience in a similar underground role.
* Experience operating Epiroc E7 rigs highly valued.
* Certification to work at heights and security clearance to handle explosives, or ability to obtain this qualification.
* A strong commitment to safety—it's how you approach your work.
* A current C Class Australian Manual Driver's Licence.
