Food Services Assistant (Casual)
Alfred Health is a leader in health care delivery, improvement, research and education. We provide a range of services to people living in the inner southeast suburbs of Melbourne.
The Department
Alfred Health Support Services provides non-clinical support services across Alfred Health, including cleaning services, car parking and fleet management, waste management, gardens and grounds, distribution, security and access control, ward support, linen services, ancillary services, food services and hospitality.
The Role
The Food Services Assistant will operate as part of the Food Services team and will assist in providing and maintaining a safe food delivery service and a clean and hygienic environment within the kitchen. This role involves meeting or exceeding industry best practice and maintaining cleaning standards in accordance with the Department of Human Services Cleaning Standards for Public Hospitals, the in office Hospital Food Safety Plan, the Food Act 1984 and FSANZ standards. The successful candidate will work closely with other Food Services team members to ensure a committed, safe and socially responsible team.
Qualifications and Experience Required
- A background of experience in Food Services within Health and Aged Care facilities
- Ability and adaptability to participate in change
- Completed or willingness to participate in training and education appropriate to improve skills required for the position
