Workplace Safety Specialist
As a Workplace Safety Specialist, you will play a crucial role in maintaining a safe and healthy work environment.
This involves monitoring compliance with established safety protocols and procedures, as well as implementing new programs to improve workplace safety. Your duties will also include investigating incidents and accidents, conducting thorough analyses to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
In addition, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining records related to project safety meetings, reports, and documentation. A key aspect of this role is establishing positive working relationships with project personnel, fostering open communication, and promoting a culture of safety awareness.
To excel in this position, you must possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You should have a solid understanding of occupational health and safety principles, including risk assessment, hazard identification, and control measures.
A minimum of 3+ years of experience in construction safety management is required, along with a relevant diploma or degree in Work Health and Safety or equivalent qualifications. Holding a Safety Lead Auditor qualification is highly desirable.
