We are seeking to establish a pool of Special Needs Education Assistants for permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the school year.

About This Role
Suitable applicants will assist teaching staff in the delivery of planned education programs and in promoting a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
The ability to assist with the daily health and wellbeing of students with physical disabilities is also desirable.
To be successful in this role, suitable applicants will use communication, interpersonal and leadership skills to develop and promote the school's values, ethos, and priorities across the school community.
Responsibilities and Requirements
* Build and maintain positive working relationships with staff, students, and teachers.
* Have knowledge of evidence-based techniques for learning and behaviour, including experience or understanding of disabilities such as Autism Spectrum Disorder.
* Be compassionate and able to work collaboratively to implement documented plans.
This role requires the ability to support Aboriginal and English as an Additional Language/Dialect (EALD) students through culturally responsive and inclusive practices.
Eligibility
* Be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, permanent resident or have a valid visa with relevant work rights for the appointment.
* Obtain a valid Working With Children Check before starting.
* Consent to a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check and obtain a current Screening Clearance Number issued by the Department of Education's Screening Unit before starting.
