About the Role:
We are currently seeking a qualified and experienced Motor Mechanic to join our growing team on a full-time basis. You will be responsible for a variety of maintenance and repair tasks to ensure vehicles are running smoothly and meet roadworthiness standards.
Duties & Responsibilities:
1. Detect and diagnose faults in vehicle engines and mechanical parts
2. Dismantle and remove engine assemblies, transmissions, and other components for inspection
3. Repair and replace worn or defective parts using service manuals and technical guidance
4. Perform scheduled maintenance services including oil changes, lubrications, and engine tune-ups
5. Reassemble and test mechanical components to ensure proper performance
6. Use diagnostic equipment and software to test systems and identify issues
7. Conduct roadworthiness inspections and report or carry out required work
8. Maintain accurate records of all services and repairs performed
Requirements:
1. Education: Minimum Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology or equivalent
2. Experience: At least 1 year of relevant industry experience
3. Technical Skills: Strong understanding of automotive systems, diagnostics, and modern repair techniques
4. Customer Focus: Strong communication skills with a customer-first approach
5. Teamwork: Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced workshop environment
6. Problem Solving: Proactive and detail-oriented with excellent troubleshooting abilities
