Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the Financial Controller will be responsible for delivering accurate, timely, and investor-grade financial reporting while ensuring strong financial governance across the group. The role will play a key part in supporting Board and investor requirements, maintaining compliance with statutory and regulatory obligations, and scaling the finance function in line with the organisation's growth agenda.

Description
Group Financial Control & Reporting
* Lead the end-to-end month-end, quarter-end, half-year, and full-year close processes
* Prepare and review consolidated statutory financial statements in accordance with AASB and, where applicable, ASX listing requirements
* Ensure the integrity and accuracy of financial results across group entities
* Maintain and continuously improve accounting policies, technical position papers, and financial controls
Board, Investor & Market Reporting
* Support the preparation of Board papers, investor reporting, and management reporting packs
* Assist with ASX reporting obligations (where applicable), including results announcements and disclosures
* Provide clear financial analysis and commentary to support executive, Board, and investor decision-making
Audit, Compliance & Governance
* Manage the external audit process end-to-end and act as the primary liaison with auditors
* Ensure compliance with financial services regulation, statutory reporting, and tax obligations (BAS, GST, FBT, PAYG, income tax)
* Partner with the CFO on governance, risk, and internal control frameworks
* Support internal audit and respond to audit findings with timely remediation
Budgeting, Forecasting & Commercial Insight
* Lead group budgeting and forecasting processes in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment
* Deliver detailed variance analysis, financial modelling, and scenario analysis
* Provide insights into cost management, profitability, and operational performance
* Support strategic initiatives including acquisitions, integrations, and transformation projects
Systems, Processes & Scalability
* Drive continuous improvement across finance systems, reporting, and processes
* Support system implementations and enhancements to improve efficiency and scalability
* Ensure finance processes are fit-for-purpose in a growing, multi-entity environment
Leadership & Stakeholder Engagement
* Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing finance team
* Act as a trusted business partner to senior leaders across the organisation
* Work closely with executive leadership, external advisors, and Board-level stakeholders
* Contribute to building a best-in-class finance function aligned with PE or public market expectations
Profile
* CA or CPA qualified (essential)
* Proven experience as a Financial Controller or senior finance leader within a PE-backed, ASX-listed, or similarly complex environment
* Strong technical accounting and statutory reporting capability, including group consolidation
* Experience supporting Board, investor, or market-facing reporting
* Strong understanding of governance, controls, and regulatory compliance
* Commercially astute with the ability to operate hands-on when required
* Confident communicator with strong leadership and stakeholder management skills
