Manning Support Services (MSS) is an award-winning community service organisation that has been operating on the NSW Mid North Coast for more than 40 years. MSS is a multi-service not-for-profit, with a mission to enhance the quality of people’s lives by providing services which enable them to live with dignity and respect.
MSS has an opportunity for a skilled and experienced Occupational Therapist to join the Clinical and Care team at MSS. The position can be part-time or full time. As an occupational therapist with MSS, you will be operating within the HCP/CHSP funding models (and soon to be Support at Home as of 1/11/25) to identify home modifications and provide functional assessments, aids and equipment assessments.
You will be working in a fast-paced, values-driven environment, aimed at assisting older people to remain living in their own homes. You will deliver exceptional services, empowering client choice and positively contributing to their health and well-being by encouraging ongoing active participation in the home and community.
Selection Criteria
Essential Qualifications and Requirements
- Bachelor of Occupational Therapy, or an equivalent qualification and current AHPRA registration with 2 years minimum experience
- Current NSW drivers’ licence (no L plates)
- Minimum third-party property damage insured vehicle
- Current First Aid Certificate and CPR
- Experience in assisting people to make choices enabling them to reach their full health and well-being potential
- An understanding of the needs of people from a diverse range of backgrounds
- An understanding of safe work practices and proven experience in the use of appropriate manual handling techniques
- Experience in reporting and assessments related to OT services
- Willingness to work across MSS locations – Taree, Port Macquarie and the Great Lakes (fleet vehicle available for use)

- A passion for working in the Aged Care sector
- Excellent collaboration skills to work professionally and maintain positive working relationships with key internal and external stakeholders
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
