Advanced Inspection and NDT (ANDT) is a NATA accredited company (to ISO17025) with branches in the East Coast and West Coast. ANDT was found by a group of passionate and experienced Engineers, AICIP Inspectors and NDT Technicians. We are looking for an experienced and qualified Mechanical Engineer, who will play a crucial role in the following services like Non-Destructive Testing, In-service Inspection and Online Condition Monitoring and more.
Location: Great Sydney Region
Salary range: $60,000-$80,000 per year
Role: Full-time
Key Responsibilities:
You will work as part of our successful team of employees taking responsibility for the following:
· Conduct thorough inspections of mechanical components and systems to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
· Apply various Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) methods such as Ultrasonic Testing, Radiographic Testing, Magnetic Particle Testing & Dye Penetration Testing to detect defects in various materials and structures or other products.
· Create comprehensive inspection plans and procedures tailored to specific projects.
· Analyze and interpret NDT test results to determine the integrity, reliability, and specifications of the mechanical components.
· Recommend design modifications to eliminate any system malfunctions or machine failure.
· Provide recommendations for maintenance, repair, or replacement of mechanical components based on inspection findings.
· Work closely with client’s team & NDT technicians to provide technical expertise and recommendations for design improvements.
· Review design calculation and develop specifications to meet the relevant standards and NATA requirements
· Review subcontractor’s quality management and material test documents along with welder performances.
· Conduct regular audits for the clients and advise them on current and future usage of machines
· Ensure that all inspection activities adhere to relevant industry standards, codes, and regulations.
· Maintain accurate documentation of inspection results, including any defects or anomalies detected and possible solutions.
Qualifications and Experience:
· At least bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or an equivalent is required.
· At least 3 years of demonstrated experience in Mechanical Engineering or a related domain.
· Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with AutoCAD, various NDT methods (UT, RT, MT, PT, ET, PAUT etc)
