On 1 January 2026 five health services (Kooweerup Regional Health Service, Peninsula Health, Alfred Health, Bass Coast Health and Gippsland Southern Health Service) will come together to create Bayside Health. A newly merged health service with more than 22,000 employees caring for a community of over 1.2 million Victorians.
The new health service will provide people with the best possible care with services that support them throughout their lives. The merger will also strengthen our workforce, providing new training, education and career opportunities. Subject to final approval on 1 January 2026, all employees from the five health services will transfer to Bayside Health.

What You Will Be Doing
The CATT Senior Mental Health Clinician provides and supports the team to provide mental health assessment and treatment to people who require urgent, short term or ongoing intensive community based mental health assessment, treatment and support.
The Senior Clinician rotates as the shift leader, a pivotal role in running the shift and will provide guidance and support to the team. The shift leader will also be the first point of escalation for the team. In addition, the CATT Senior Mental Health Clinician will play an active role in developing and supporting the orientation and learning of less experienced clinicians.
As a member of this multidisciplinary team your skills will also be utilised within the assessment, providing early discharge management, Mental Health Telephone Triage and Police Ambulance and Clinician Early Response (PACER).

What You Need
* Registered Nurse, Social Worker, OT or Clinical Psychologist with relevant registration RPN ONLY: Post graduate qualification in Mental Health or specialist undergraduate Mental Health program. A minimum of 5 years' experience in the mental health field including acute inpatient services and/or community mental health care.
* Demonstrated management and leadership experience.
* Proven ability in the management of consumers with a major mental illness and in the techniques of assessment, crisis intervention, counselling and psychosocial rehabilitation.
* Demonstrated commitment to delivering high quality outcomes for consumers.
* Communicates well with and relates to consumers from a wide range of cultures and backgrounds.
* Current Driving Licence.
