About the Job:

* Plan, prepare, and implement engaging instructional activities in assigned subjects that contribute to a climate where students are actively engaged in meaningful learning experiences.
* Identify, select, create, and modify instructional resources to meet the needs of students with varying backgrounds, learning styles, and special needs.
* Be responsible for the supervision of students assigned to the class.
* Conduct roll calls, counts, and maintain attendance records.
* Maintain effective and efficient record-keeping procedures.
* Ensure that order and discipline are maintained in the classroom using effective classroom behavior management techniques.
* Provide a positive environment where students are encouraged to be actively engaged in the learning process.
* Evaluate students and make determinations as to overall progress.
* Grade student assignments and assessments and follow all grading procedures. Counsel and advise students regarding their academic and behavioral progress.
* Collaborate with supervisor and peers to enhance the instructional environment for students by participating in activities such as team teaching, meetings, professional learning, and professional learning communities.
* Communicate with students, parents/guardians, and internal and external stakeholders within established timelines.
* Model professional and ethical standards when dealing with students, parents/guardians, colleagues, and other stakeholders.
