Sourcing & TAC Specialist Job Description

We have an excellent permanent opportunity for an experienced Solution Consultant to join our APAC team based in Melbourne. As a Sourcing & TAC Specialist, you will be responsible for pre-sales activities, technical support to sales, and bid management.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Customer Requirements Understanding: Translate customer business needs into suitable technical and commercial solutions.
2. Business & Delivery Modeling: Develop comprehensive business and delivery models tailored to customer requirements.
3. Technical & Commercial Adequacy: Ensure that solutions meet technical and commercial standards, leveraging the company's standard solution portfolio.
4. Pre-Sales Activities: Conduct demos, workshops, and provide technical support to sales teams.
5. Collaboration with Global Functions: Work with Solution Management, Engineering, Delivery, Operations to define customer-specific solutions.
6. Documentation & Marketing Material: Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation, education, and marketing materials (internal/external).
7. Market Surveys & Trend Identification: Perform regional market surveys and identify emerging trends.
8. Portfolio Development: Feed the baseline portfolio with market requirements, pricing policies, and competitor information.
9. Bid Support: Provide support during handovers from pre-sales to bid phase.
10. Market Strategy Development: Collaborate to define and shape markets aligned with Kapsch's overall strategy and product/solution portfolio.

About You:

1. ITS & Tolling Expertise: Strong knowledge of ITS and tolling concepts.
2. Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Computer Science.
3. Conceptual Thinking & Design Capabilities: Strong conceptual thinking and design skills.
4. Languages: Business fluent in English; additional language skills highly valued.
5. Travel Readiness: Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.
6. Collaboration & Communication Skills: Exceptional collaboration, presentation, and communication skills.
7. Personal Qualities: Flexible, proactive, self-motivated, and eager to learn.
8. Customer Focus & Work Ethic: Strong customer focus mindset and high work ethic.

Desirable Skills:

1. Pre-Sales or Technical Experience: Prior experience in pre-sales or technical positions.
