**Oriental Merchant **is a leading importer and distributor of authentic Asian groceries, supplying supermarkets with brands that are familiar throughout the Asia Pacific. We have a presence nationally, as well an international portfolio in New Zealand, Europe, Canada, Japan and the UK.
To keep up with the demand and our expanding business we are looking for a Merchandiser to join our team
**Your tasks and responsibilities will include**:
- Visit customers and stores as scheduled
- Place orders with retailers as required to optimize stock levels
- Check quality and appearance of stock to ensure saleability
- Check store range compliance against applicable layout profiles, build layouts and relay stores as required
- Maintain store shelves with company product, remove out-of-date product and provide optimum display of company products
- Complete merchandising reporting, including Point of Sale Materials, report and status, reporting competitor activities, pricing, product ranging, promotional activities, displays, conducting audit
- Assist Sales Reps and shops with promotions by setting up regular small or large-scale display of product, replenish the product in the display and feedback to sales reps and team leaders re customer reaction to the display and promotions
- Liaising with demonstrator promotors regarding events
**To be successful you will need**:
- ** Full Australian working rights**:
- Excellent verbal communication skills in **English and Chinese,**:
- Ability to multi-task and ability to prioritise
- Current driver's Licence
