Finance & Office Manager (Part-Time: 24-30 hrs per week)

Prological is a leading supply chain consulting firm delivering innovative, commercially astute and operationally sustainable solutions to major Australian and global clients. As our business continues to grow, we are seeking a Finance & Office Manager to join our Head Office team in a part-time capacity.
This is a finance-first role, ideal for an experienced finance professional looking for meaningful part-time work in a professional services environment.
This role requires Australian citizenship or permanent residency status.
The Role
Reporting to senior leadership, you will take ownership of Prological's core financial operations while also providing essential office and business support.
Key responsibilities include:
* End-to-end financial management, reporting and compliance
* Monthly management accounts, cashflow forecasting and insights
* Quarterly board meeting preparation and reporting
* Invoicing, WIP tracking and debtor management
* Liaison with external accountants and service providers
* Supporting leadership with accurate and timely financial information
* Overseeing general office operations and internal support activities
Working Arrangements
* Approximately 24+ hours per week, preferably across 4 or 5 days
* In-office attendance required on Mondays and Fridays, with flexible office and/or remote work supported on other days
About You
You are a capable and detail-oriented finance professional who enjoys owning the numbers while contributing to the broader success of the business. You are organised, proactive and comfortable working autonomously in a consulting environment.
Experience & Capabilities
* To be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate:
* Strong, hands-on finance experience in a small to mid-sized organisation
* Proven capability across management reporting, cashflow management and financial controls
* Experience managing accounts payable, accounts receivable, invoicing and month-end processes
* Confidence preparing monthly management accounts, forecasts and variance commentary
* Experience liaising with external accountants, payroll providers and auditors
* High level of attention to detail, accuracy and ownership of financial outcomes
* Ability to work autonomously and manage competing priorities in a professional services environment
* Strong systems capability and experience using accounting software (e.g. Xero, MYOB or similar)
* Professional, discreet handling of confidential financial and commercial information
* Prior responsibility for office management or internal business operations (desirable)
* Familiarity with improving or streamlining internal processes and systems
* Professional services industry experience is preferred but not essential for this role.
Qualifications
* Tertiary qualifications in Finance, Accounting, Commerce or a related discipline, OR equivalent depth of practical experience in a senior finance-focused role
* CA, CPA or equivalent professional accounting qualification (highly regarded)
