We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Supervisor to lead our team at the Fulfillment Centre in Dandenong South.
This role involves supervising up to 8 maintenance technicians, requiring strong leadership skills to provide both reactive and proactive maintenance services for operational equipment and facilities infrastructure. The supervisor will design solutions for complex problems, manage external contractors, and respond to emergency calls. The successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to handle multiple projects and daily activities meeting required deadlines.
Key Job Responsibilities
1. Lead and motivate maintenance technicians by providing guidance and directions to achieve their goals.
2. Deliver and maintain preventive maintenance programs, including facility and contractor management.
3. Promote safe working practices across the site and act as an ambassador for safety within the team.
4. Manage maintenance-related purchase orders to ensure smooth facility operation and control of critical spare and store inventory.
5. Install, maintain, and troubleshoot all FC systems, including power distribution, automated material handling equipment, conveyance, and other operational equipment.
6. Develop and maintain good working relationships across all levels in the organization, including regular attendance at site leadership meetings and steering committees.
Required Skills and Qualifications
* Formal trade qualification: Certificate III in Electrotechnology with an unrestricted trade license or Certificate III Mechanical Engineering (Fitter/Turner). Alternatively, trade qualifications recognized in Australia.
* Industrial maintenance electrical experience with an electrical license.
* Leadership experience supervising multi-trade teams in a fast-paced industrial manufacturing/distribution environment.
* Experience mentoring and developing technicians.
* Relevant experience in automation or material handling equipment environments.
* Experience using CMMS to plan proactive maintenance and record reactive tasks.
* Experience in contractor management.
